Our First Home – video

Steve and I close on our first home ever on the 22nd, next Wednesday.  We thought it’d be a good idea to create a little video walking through the house so we’ll always remember it and so we can share with you babies a little bit about our lives before you.  It is probably the most expensive, and smallest, home we’ll ever live in.  We’re really going to miss living here.  It’s been the perfect San Francisco condo.

And here are some professional photos taken from the real estate photographer.  Most of the stuff is ours but we did do a partial staging so a few of the “knick-knacks” are from the staging company.

Here is a video with the photos above and labels from our real estate agent:

A Note from Our Sellers:

Dear Prospective Buyer,

San Francisco has a diverse set of neighborhoods to the point that you can move from one to another and it’s almost like you’re in a whole new city. That is one of the reasons we loved living at 80 Richland Avenue.

80 Richland has the best of 4 worlds. It’s a short walk to Bernal Heights, Glen Park and Noe Valley with the restaurant perks of the Mission right next door. If you’ve run out of milk, the corner store has a wide assortment of everyday food items and the produce store across the street has fresh fruits and vegetables. You must try Balompies, right on the corner, for the best pupusas in the city! On a typical Saturday morning we’d find ourselves walking through Bernal to the biggest farmer’s market in the city, Alemany Farmer’s Market, which is less than a mile away. Some fresh basil and tomatoes and we we’re half way there to a tomato basil lunch complete after walking 10 minutes over to Glen Park and stopping at the Destination Bakery for a fresh loaf of sourdough bread and the Cheese Boutique for some delicious mozzarella balls.

Our miniature dachshund was in heaven having three dog parks so close by: Holy Park, St. Mary’s Park and the off leash Glen Canyon Park. 80 Richland Ave is the dream city location for commuters! The two-car dedicated parking spots in our four car garage is unheard of in the city, making it simple to jump in the car and head downtown (10 minutes) on 280 or 101, to Berkeley (28 minutes) or down to the South Bay like Stanford (42 minutes). If you’re commuting into the city, the Glen Park Bart is a 10-minute walk, the MUNI is only a 3-minute walk and there are numerous bus lines that run on the corner of Mission and Richland. Not to mention the free 5 hour parking available at the BART stop if you want to go out to dinner in the Mission but don’t want to deal with the headache of finding a parking spot. If you’re a bicyclist there are great bike lanes off of San Jose and Valencia to get you anywhere you want to be.

Living at 80 Richland, you are part of a larger community; the neighbors and neighborhood is a tight knit group of people. Join the College Hill Neighborhood Association and learn about upcoming events in our area and ways to improve the neighborhood like planting more trees and sidewalk gardens.

We hope you enjoy living here as much as we have!
