Last weekend Steve finished the final touch for baby-proofing of our living room.  We have the two gates up in the two entry doorways, we’ve replaced all of the outlet covers with baby-proofed versions, and removed all of the cords and sharp edges.  What was the final touch?  Steve put a piece of wood inside the fireplace and painted it black.  That way the boys can’t go inside or hit their heads on the brick edges.  It turned out really good.  Steve is quite the carpenter!  We’ll probably paint it with some metallic paint so we can put some magnets on it once the babies get a little bigger.
