23 weeks and first time flying

23 weeks and first time flying

You babies did awesome on your first flight.  We left on a red eye on Friday evening and I didn’t get much sleep.  I was worried about you guys and wanted to stay hydrated and get lots of leg movement in so I didn’t get a blood clot.  We had a quick connection in Minnesota and then we were in Baltimore.  People were openly asking when I was due… It is very obvious that I am pregnant at this point.

I think you will love living in Baltimore.  We looked at a lot of homes with our real estate agent.  We found one that we both could picture ourselves living and put an offer down on it but it didn’t work out.  In general though, we found a great little neighborhood called Homeland that has cute houses in various sizes and most of them have great backyards.  Perfect to play around as a little kid.  Most of the homes are older with lots of tiny rooms but as a little kid you guys won’t know the difference.  It’s your mama’s sacrifice of a nice soaking bathtub that is going to be tough.

Here’s a picture of me taken last night.  So it’s my 22 week photo but you are 23 weeks yesterday.  In just the four days we were there I feel like you grew so much.  I don’t know if it was all the walking around to see places or the eating out but I probably doubled in size.  Our real estate agent even noticed a difference from day 1 to day 4.  She said she even noticed a difference in the way that I was walking.  🙂  I hope you find it comfy in there and hang out for another 14 weeks!

One thing that has changed for sure is how much I’m feeling you both. It’s so amazing, almost all day I’ve been feeling things here and there as you explore the world around you. I love the feeling and it makes me smile to know you’re alive and kicking.  I was even able to have Steve put his hand on my belly in different places and feel you guys as well.

I think you love ice cream because the more I eat it the happier you seem.  I’ve been experiencing some nasty lower back pains the last few days.  i think it might be because of the flights and hard hotel beds.  It’ll be nice to be in our own place sleeping in our bed for at least the next couple months.
