We pulled out one of our baby swings for Steve to bring to the office to give to a coworker who has young twins. I decided to hang it in the doorway so Steve wouldn’t forget it. Nathan decided he needed to swing in it. It actually fit him pretty good. Anthony was a nice brother and gave him a couple pushes.
The winter has finally warmed up a little. So yesterday we got to play in the backyard with the boys on the swingset. It was about 60 degrees.
As an early birthday present to the boys and mostly as some easy entertainment for Sara’s kids while they visit, Steve and I went and bought a DIY swingset kit from Home Depot. It claimed it was an hour long kit but it ended up taking most of the day on Sunday. The back of the box listed the lumber that was needed but left off two pieces and the kit itself was missing some critical parts. So most of the time was spent running around the city and between stores to get all the pieces before we could start assembling. Despite the headaches, the set turned out perfect. It’s just a simple A-frame set but we can fit three swings. The boys LOVE it.
This week Keri, Anthony, Nathan, and I drove over to the park. This was the boys second time at the park but they had a lot of fun swinging, sliding, and playing. Nathan, as usual, was trying to impress the ladies. We also finally captured Anthony’s waving.
The boys are liking their doorway bouncers more now that they’re a little bigger. They’re still mostly just hanging in them though and not bouncing at all.
Yesterday we tried out the doorway swing on the boys. They barely fit into the little seat. Steve and Grandma had to stuff in one of their snowsuits in order for them to fill the area. They both really seemed to enjoy the swing though. Steve called them wrecking balls.
Here are some videos too:
We’re still trying to figure out the video feature on our new camera.
