On Friday the girls had rice cereal for the first time. I don’t think they are quiet ready for solids yet. I tried twice, in the morning after I had already fed them and then around lunch time after it had been a few hours since they ate. Of course they did better when they were hungry and even had their mouths open ready to accept the rice cereal. But their tongues aren’t cooperating. They tend to push two thirds of it right back out. It’s exciting that they’re starting to eat other things.

Steve gave the girls carrots when I took Anthony out on an errand today. I was a little sad I wasn’t there for their first taste but I did get to see them eat it when I walked into the house. They seemed to like the carrots daddy made for them, but were happy to have me home for some mommy milk.
Steve and I are regretting pushing solids on the boys after yesterdays diapers… Let’s just say the peas made it all the way through their systems. Both boys ended up will emergency baths.
