The girls are SUCH easy babies. It is pretty amazing. They are happy almost all the time. The only time they cry is when they want to eat or have a poop… unless it’s close to bed time, but during the day they are little angels.
even in a monster suit they are angels…
One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed between these two pregnancies was how much I can feel the girls moving. Especially at night they are always squirming around. I can even see the movement from the outside which I never remember seeing with the boys.
Here’s a video from 22 weeks (almost a month ago):
Yesterday was the boys 15 month appointment . We took them to the pediatrician and they had two shots. When we got home they were acting okay but kind of sleepy . At 4:30 pm, Ann called upstairs to let me know Nathan was puking . He looked miserable and kept throwing up every 10 minutes. It was scary. We called the doctor for the second time around 7:30 pm and she said to take Nathan to the emergency room because of the worry of dehydration since he wasn’t holding down any liquids. Luckily our nanny is awesome… Ann came back to the house to hang out while Anthony slept and Steve and I headed to the hospital.
They triaged us and gave Nathan some zofran to stop the vomitting. It really was a magic pill. He was so much better after that. Within 20 minutes he was no longer puking and was even asking for juice. He was a whole new person. We had to wait a bit longer before we could be taken back to see the doctor and she barely looked at him and said that the stomach flu was “going around”. She gave us a prescription for zofran and sent us on our way.
Maybe he got something at the pediatrician’s office. There weren’t any other kids there though so it must’ve been handling the blocks and toys. Nathan did so much better today. It’s sad to see our little guy so miserable. Despite it all he was his normal happy self when he wasn’t throwing up and even managed to crack a smile and laugh at daddy:
Steve and I got to meet our newest nephew while visiting Montana, Townes Thomas Seacat. He was such a good baby that it made me want another baby… or two. He is absolutely beautiful!
I definitely don’t remember our boys ever being this small even though I know they were. Babies grow up way too fast! Take lots of photos Mark and Katie so we can watch him grow up. Thanks for having us in your home.
Yesterday I got this cute email from Keri that I just had to share…
Nathan finally figured out how to get under the Einstein. He was very proud.
Then he realized he could go up through the seat
So he poked his face through.
He was sitting up straight inside a new part of the Einstein and couldn’t be happier.
Until he wanted out and saw up as the only way. He knew your Mom and me were helping so he sat and waited for us to get the seat off. But he was a tiny bit scared.
Thought you might enjoy this little story about your son 🙂
Oh, and Anthony says, “Hey! What about me? Tell Mommy I’m trying my best to crawl for her.”
After taking the pictures of Anthony I decided to try out Nathan and he did such a great job. Here’s some pictures and a video of Nathan sitting up..
What kind of mother would I be if I didn’t get some nude-y pictures of the boys?!?
I haven’t the slightest clue how we’re supposed to come up with TWO baby boy names. Steve and I talked about names for a few minutes the night of the gender reveal but haven’t talked about names since. We have so much going on and the babies feel like they’re so far away that names aren’t the highest priority right now. Steve and I both like how our names are common so it’s easy for people to spell and understand them…. so our goal is to do something traditional for the twins as well.
I thought it’d be fun to put down my running list in a blog post. Feel free to comment if you have suggestions on names to add to the list:
- Gabriel (Gabe Oscar DeLuca! hahaha… *jokes*)
- Oscar (middle name)
- Scott (middle name)
Names are tough as each person has different associations based on individuals that they have known in their life. Makes it hard to get everyone to love a name…. but that’s okay… only Steve and I have to love the names for now. For the rest of you, whatever we pick will grow on you as these little boys steal your hearts!
