A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life

In June of this year IBM came to my house to film a day in the life series featuring me!  It turned out amazing.  What a fun little video to remember this time in our lives…

Smelly Markers

Smelly Markers

A couple weeks ago Anthony and Nathan got to help me make an anniversary card for Daddy.  Anthony loves to smell the smelly markers.  Captured on video!

The boys love to go and wake up Steve in the morning by jumping on the bed.

They are even getting good at giving kisses.  Gone are the day of open mouthed slobber.  Anthony even likes to smack his lips.

Daddy’s Worst Nightmare

Daddy’s Worst Nightmare

Steve cooked the boys a cauliflower puree and decided it would be a good idea to slap a large spoonful on each of their plates.  It quickly turned into a disaster as the boys thought it’d be hilarious to rub it into their hair.

Flannel Boys

Flannel Boys

I dressed the boys up in flannels and attempted to get some pictures of them together and failed miserably.  The bribing technique that Aunt Sara does fails with my kids.  But I did manage a few good ones.  These pictures were taken on August 2nd so the boys were almost 21 months old.

Bee Sting

Bee Sting

Nathan got stung by a bee today.  Ann’s sister was visiting and was able to quickly get the stinger out.  He definitely was uncomfortable and had some swelling but otherwise he was a good sport.  We asked him if he still liked bugs and he violently shook his head no.  …guess he won’t be dissecting drosophila like his daddy.  Then again maybe Steve dissects them out of hatred.

Nathan peed in the potty!!

Nathan peed in the potty!!

Today after Ann left Nathan went into the half bath downstairs and grabbed him little boy bottle topper and put it on the toilet.  I asked him if he had to go and helped him get out of his shorts and diaper and helped him on the potty.  Then after about a minute he peed!  I was so excited!  What a big boy!  …and not even 21 months old.  Hopefully he is encouraged to continue trying.  How much easier would life be to have at least one of these boys out of diapers?!?
