Today Steve and I took the boys for an adventure to visit the tulip garden in Guilford like we did last year. Nathan slept through most of the adventure but woke up at the very end.
Nathan exploring the tulips
Yesterday Steve and I were struggling to hold down Anthony while we tried to cut his nails. For some reason he wanted nothing to do with it and was screaming as if in agonizing pain. It took about 20 minutes to get his 10 little nails trimmed. While he was screaming Nathan was watching and whimpering. He even shed a few tears whiled he watched over, he was so worried about Anthony. After we were all done we told Nathan that Anthony needed a hug. So Nathan bent down and snuggled into Anthony like he snuggles into us for hugs. Then he went in to give Anthony a kiss on the shoulder. Anthony started giggling. It was so neat how much Nathan was worried about Anthony and how easy it was for Anthony to cheer up when Nathan gave him a hug and a kiss. They are starting to interact with each other a lot lately. This was the first time one of them tried to kiss and hug the other. They are going to be the best of friends.
Today when I was working I heard someone downstairs playing the harmonica. I just assumed it was our nanny, Ann. Then I heard her get really excited and phrase Anthony. Anthony was playing the harmonica just like his daddy does! He was actually pretty good at it too. I decided to sneak down and record him on my cellphone. I caugh the tail end of his performance.
The weather has been gorgeous in Baltimore and the boys have gotten a lot of use out of their swingset. One day they even got some naked swing time in.
It doesn’t get much nicer than this!
This weekend Grandma and Grandpa DeLuca drove out to Baltimore to spend Easter weekend with us. It was a lot of fun. We dyed easter eggs, spent lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, watched a movie,
went shoe shopping for the boys,
and hung out on the porch talking by the fire pit.
The boys loved the guacamole that their dad made. We were all dying laughing watching Anthony “dip” his chips. He’d put his entire hand into the bowl and his fist came out with more gauc than the chip. I counted 14 times that he dipped one chip. He is not aware of the double-dip rule.
At one point Anthony gave up on the chips and just grabbed handfuls of guac.
On Saturday evening Paul drove up with Stacie. Stacie is also a fraternal twin so we got to hear all about what it’s like growing up as a twin. It was so nice to see Uncle Paul and meet Stacie. On Sunday Nathan gave us all a scare when he decided to do a cartwheel down the brick steps from our patio to the yard. He looked me right in the eye when I said “Nathan, please turn around and do down backwards”. Then he took a step over the edge. He is going to be a hand full.
He is a trooper though. He wouldn’t let us hold the frozen peas to his head and cried more about that then he did about the fall. He got scraped up pretty good and has a nasty bruised bump.
It was a relaxing weekend. It felt nice not worrying about anything and just enjoying spending time with family.

Nathan’s new favorite thing to do is stand on top of their toy airplane. Anthony’s new favorite thing to do is to push him off.
…flying through the tunnel
We broke down and decided to get water delivery service since our fridge doesn’t dispense filtered water anymore *coughCONTRACTORHELLcough*. But it’s nice that the boys drink so much more water now. They also love to play with the empty water cooler jugs. I think it’s so cute when they carry around the bottles. They look so strong and little compared to the size of the bottles.
