~ My current favorite phrase from Nathan. He is really good about telling Steve and I that he loves us. Followed by “I’ll love you forever”, and then “I’ll never stop loving you”. It makes me so happy.
Last Friday was Ann’s last day with the boys. She’s been watching them for about 2 years!! Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to full-time Ann as the boys got accepted into preschool at Cedarcroft school and start this coming Thursday, September 3rd. She has a new job lined up with another family nearby and promises to come visit all the time. We’re going to hold her to it!
I don’t think the boys fully understood that Ann wasn’t going to be watching them anymore but we’re trying to distract them by talking up how much fun they will have at school. We are all going to miss you Ann!!
Anthony and Nathan have been pushing around the dinning room chairs for some time now. They push them up next to the light switches to turn on and off the lights or up near the countertops to get into trouble. Sometimes they’ll each get their own chair but a lot of times they’ll share a single chair. Whenever Nathan is on the chair first I can ask Anthony to give Nathan a hug and he gives him a squeeze. They love being together.
The boys are really interacting with each other a lot. It’s so neat to see. They love having a brother! This morning Nathan and Anthony were doing there steal-the-paci game where they take it out of each others mouths. When Nathan took it from Anthony, Anthony furrowed up his eye brows and looked sad. Nathan recognized the Anthony was upset and gave it back to him! He just held out his hand with the paci and put it back in Anthony’s mouth. Another example of Nathan’s compassion is when Anthony is crying in his crib and Nathan is in his crib. Nathan will pull himself up on the side of the crib so he can look at his brother and let him know that he is there.
