Day 3 in the hospital. The night shift came in at 6:30 am and told us we’d be delivering at 35 weeks (tomorrow) so I was getting a little worried the babies would come before my mom got here (she changed her plane tcket to get here on Wednesday). Then at 8:30 another set of doctors thought since I didn’t have any other symptoms that I should be good until 36 weeks. Which is great! I feel a lot better about that. So we’re looking at around 11/6 unless something changes. I’m getting daily blood work, blood pressure measurements every 4 hours, and non-stress tests for the babies.
The doctors and hospital staff have been awesome. It’s a good time to be in the hospital because it is raining cats and dogs out there. Hurricane Sandy is hitting hard. We have a window and it looks like the rain is coming in at a 45 degree angle. Our current nurse, Kathy, is very friendly, we were just talking about how great this hospital is, she said: “If you want a crunchy granola tub birth, don’t come here”. Steve and I both laughed. That is why we picked this hospital. The NICU is the best in the country, now to relax a little and realize we’re in great hands.
We had another ultrasound today. Here’s a super cute picture of baby B:
Baby A is still misbehaving and won’t corporate for pictures. He is blocking the out hole by plopping his little tooshie in the way. I have a feeling he’s not going anywhere. Poor little guy… I’m never going to let him live down the fact that he made his mom get a c-section. 😉
