A couple weeks ago Anthony and Nathan got to help me make an anniversary card for Daddy. Anthony loves to smell the smelly markers. Captured on video!
Today we spent a lot of time outside. It was beautiful out and our tomatoes are starting to get to the point where the “wildlife” are likely to come try a taste. So we decided to finish the over-engineered rabbit cage (pictures to come). Grandma and Grandpa Seacat are in town so we put them to work. When we were finished Steve setup the soaker hoses and of course that just meant the boys played in the mud. This is the first time they’ve played in mud and I couldn’t help but take some pictures of their enjoyment. Boys will be boys!
Our evenings after dinner lately have been us dancing in the living room or chasing the boys around the house in circles. Here’s a little view of what it’s like at our house:
these videos happen to be of Anthony. I’ll have to get one of Nathan as well. I had to get one of Anthony screaming. I love when he screams out of excitement at the top of his lungs.
Nathan has been in a little bit of a mood the last few days. He’ll cry whenever we’re out of his line of sight. Today Steve went upstairs and Nathan collapsed on the floor in tears. Then Anthony got down as well and crawled over on top of Nathan and gave him some pets on his back. It was really cute. I think he was trying to cheer him up!
This evening it decided to suddenly down pour in Baltimore. It was very relaxing just watching the rain. Steve and I decided to bring the boys outside under the front porch deck. They both started laughing and putting their arms out to touch the water as it dripped down the house. Then Nathan got brave and started running out into the rain with his arms straight up in the air and a giant grin. Anthony at one point decided to try it out since Nathan was having so much fun. He got about 7 steps out and turned right back around. Don’t worry, captured on video:
We ended up having to drag the boys inside for a late bedtime… 8:15 pm. I love these boys!
Today when I was working I heard someone downstairs playing the harmonica. I just assumed it was our nanny, Ann. Then I heard her get really excited and phrase Anthony. Anthony was playing the harmonica just like his daddy does! He was actually pretty good at it too. I decided to sneak down and record him on my cellphone. I caugh the tail end of his performance.
